Enviromental and Health Officers fromf the Abeokuta South Local Government Area have put the Omida Market Complex under locks and keys few minutes to the end of the Markets Weekly sanitation exercise.

Newslfe Correspondent who witnessed the incident saw a white Lexus Jeep driven by an environmental officer zooming off from the scene, while one of the officers who was not fast enough to enter the Jeep was abandoned.

Attempt by the Parakoyi of Ibara kingdom, Chief Mutiu Ayinde to save the situation yielded nought as the officers zoomed off amidst milling around the Jeep by the market leaders and women who were trying to explain to the environmental officers.

According to one the market women,” those in green Uniforms have been here earlier. No sellers have displayed wares or goods for sell. The gate was only opened to allow our movement in and out as we were cleaning our surroundings”
