WTD: OGUN READY TO CELEBRATE, SHOWCASE TOURISM POTENTIALS

Ogun State Ministry of Culture and Tourism will join the rest of the world to commemorate the 44th edition of the World Tourism Day slated for Monday, September 27, 2021.

A release signed by the Commissioner in the Ministry, Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo, indicated that the celebration would have the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun as the Chief host and his Wife, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun as the Chief Guest of Honour.

The release stated that the two-day event would start on Sunday, September 26 with a capacity building on making of Adire fabric and souvenirs at the Asero Adire International Market, Asero, Abeokuta by 10.00am.

It added that the grand finale would take place on Monday, September 27 at the Valley View Auditorium, Government House, Oke-Igbein, Abeokuta by 10.00am, featuring paper presentations on tourism industry, documentary on Ofada rice, Eyo and other tourism potentials in the State.
