OGUN TO HOST TREASURE HUNT REALITY SHOW

The Ogun State Government has partnered with Treasures of the Universe Limited to host Treasure Hunt season 2, a television reality show with the aims of engaging the youths and  promoting peaceful co-existence through tourism.The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo made this known in Abeokuta during a meeting in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry,Trade and Investment and the executives of Treasures of the Universe Limited.Taiwo noted that the show was inline with the  vision of the State in creating an enabling environment for Private Public Partnership to thrive.The Commissioner stated further that the project was endorsed because of the same goal it shares with the ‘Y’ in the ISEYA mantra of the State which is Youth Development.“The State Governor has vision and passion for the Youth and wants them engaged to be an ambassador of peace. We want peace and unity in our nation and one of the way to achieve this is to preach peace to the Youths. For these reasons, Treasure Hunt season 2 is endorsed by this Ministry in conjunction with our sister agency, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment”, Taiwo stated.Also speaking, the Commissioner for Industry,  Trade and Investment, Kikelomo Longe said the show is apt now in the history of the  country, saying it would forestall peace and create jobs for the youths.Represented by the Director of Industrial Promotions in the Ministry, Engr. Kehinde Akintomide, Longe appreciated the initiators of  Treasure Hunt, while assuring them of Government support to make it a huge success.Earlier in his address, the  Chief Executive Producer of Treasures of the Universe Limited, Mr. Gabriel Tukura informed that Ogun State was chosen for the season 2 due to her uniqueness to tourism potentials and rich cultural heritage, saying his team would embark on a tourist site survey across the State, before auditioning begins on October, 6.Tukura noted further that youths between the ages of 20 to 35 across  tribes and religion  are qualified for the show, adding that winner is to reign for one year as  a National Peace Ambassador saddled with the responsibility of handling National peace projects.
