As the Muslim Ummah Celebrate this year Eid-il- Kabir world wide, Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has admonished Muslim faithful to always haver faith in Allah, as it through this that one’s aspirations could be fruitful.

Abiodun gave the admonition at the Muslim Praying Ground,, lantoro, Abeokuta Ogun State capital

Abiodun, who spoke through the Chief of Staff Alhaji Shuaibu Salisu, described the festival as a celebration of sacrifice that came about when Allah asked Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son, ismail,, in fulfilment of his promises to him and a test of Ibrahim’s in him, enjoined all and sundry to always keep faith in Allah and not to forget to be grateful to him.

Quoting copiously from the Holy Quran, he added further that the celebration is also a show of gratitude to Allah for the gift of life and his protective grace over everyone of us and our children.

Alhaji Salisu while congratulating Muslims for witnessing this year Eid-il- Kabir, prayed that Allah who gave a ram in place of Ibrahim’s son, would replace our sorrow with joy, accept our good deeds.

He reminded the citizens not to forget to always take precautionary measures against Covid-19, also called on people of voting age to participate in the local government election scheduled for Saturday,July 24th 2021.

Shuaibu,who said he has not come to dictate what party the voters should vote for, added that he would love voters to cast their votes for All Progressives Congress, APC on the day of the election.

Delivering his sermon, chief Imam of Egbaland, Alhaji Abass Bamgbola reminded the gathering of the lessons of the celebration and to always keep faith with Allah in all their dispositions

The Former Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt.hon.Sabur Bankole, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs, Hon.Afolabi Afuape, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Waheed Odusile, member of OGHA, Hon Adejojo, top government functionaries and some ex permanent secretaries and present ones were at the prayer.
