Asp art of efforts to create more employment opportunities, and encourage youth participation in agriculture, Dangote group is set to establish a 500 hectares of farmland in Aga Olowo area of Ogun State
The traditional ruler of the town, Oba Kayode Adio Kusoro, Olowosokedile 1, Oluaga of Agaolowo confirmed this while speaking to Journalists during a press conference to herald activities marking his Ten years Anniversary.
Oba Kusoro said with the cultivation of the rice plantation it will create jobs for youths in the town and food sufficiency.
The royal father then appealed to the State and Federal governments to intensify efforts in the construction of the proposed airport at Wasimi area of the State, saying that the move will assist in bringing more development to the area.
“There will be job creation, and many industries will spring up in the area, thereby giving chance to accelerated development.
Oba Kusoro while speaking on the State of the town before he was installed as the ruler said “Agaolowo of Ten years ago has witnessed some noticeable changes and I have no doubt in my mind that the changes are more to come”.
Naming some of the great things that have added to the town, the royal father said, “We have moved from coronet Oba to a member of Ogun state council of Obas and EGBA traditional council, we now have Modern markets with lock up shop and stalls.”
“We now have a secondary school, “Agaolowo Comprehensive High School, whose classrooms will be commissioned by commissioner for education in Ogun State on this Friday.
“Teachers house for our teachers, An ultra modern building for officers and men of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps”.
“Tarred roads within the community and water way channels, An Ultra modern Health Center in Agaolowo and Babaalawo, Provision of modern day water for drinking and other sundry uses, Peaceful co-existence amongst the adjourning communities.
Other good things that his rulership has brought to town also include, an ultra modern hotel now available, the town is now booming with a lot of commercial activities.
He thanked “His Royal Majesty. Oba Dr Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo CFR, Alake and paramour ruler of Egbaland for his fatherly support all the time”. I also thank Olu Itori, and my other brother obas for their supports”.
