The suspended Commissioner for Environment in Ogun State, Hon. Abiodun Abudu-Balogun has been requested to resign from his position.


Hon.Abudu balogun was suspended by the State Government following his alleged sexual harrassment of a 16-year-Old girl, Barakat Melojuekun. Abudu balogun was interrogated by the state Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun after the case was transferred to the state Criminal Investigation Department, CID.

It was widely reported that the 16-year-old, Barakat Melojuekun, had in a viral video alleged that Abudu-Balogun sexually harrassed her by forcefully tounching her breast and saying some incantations with an attempt to to lay his hand on hee.

Though, Abudu-Balogun denied the allegations describing it as political blackmail, but Gov.Abiodun suspended him to allow for a through Police Investigation.

But, current findings reaveled that despite the spirited efforts by traditional rulers and some top-notch Politicians in the state to save the embattled Commissioner, Gov. Abiodun has ordered Abudu-Balogun to tender his resignation letter.

A reliable source from the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi hinted a letter requesting the suspended Commissioner to resign waa given to him last week.

Seveeal moves to confirm the letter from the office of the Chief Press Secretary to the state governor, Mr.Kunle Somorin came to nought as many phone calls and text messages sent to his phone was not replied.
