In line with the recent diretive( through circular) that emanated from the office of the Head of Service on Friday to residents, Civil and Public servants in Ogun State on the use of facemask against the second waves of Covid-19 pandemic, the state government has commenced the full enforcement of the order as the Covid-19 Task force are now combing the city of Abeokuta to arrest offenders.
The Covid-19 Task force comprising top civil servants from Ogun State Ministry of Environment, Police, Environmental Marshals, Trace Officers and Sanitary Inpsectors arrested some individuals for flouting the order at skating ground area of Panseke , Abeokuta.
Newslife gathered that the Task force while on a visit to a lounge to ensure enforcement of the order at the facility around the area, discovered accumulation of waste,lack of drainage,oil- spillage in the facility.
Some of the workers at the lounge were arrested by the Task force while an abatement notice was issued based on the environmental state of the facility.
Meanwhile, a speaker-fitted bus of the Ministry of Information and stratey was seen at the June 12 market Panseke , Abeokuta, ditching out enlightenment messages as as well warning to the residents on the need to adhere to the order.
