Troubled at the internal wrangling rocking the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Abeokuta,Ogun State,, the acting Rector of the institution, Dr. Adeoye Odedeji has admonished staff to stop fanning the ember of disunity, but to look for ways to resolve the crisis internally.

Dr. Odedeji made this passionate plea in a chat with newsmen during praying and thanksgiving service organised by staff at the polytechnic campus on Monday to usher in new year, new resolution.

Furthermore, the acting rector urged the institution staff to refrain from externalizing the internal crisis, and not to tarnish the image of the polytechnic with the current challenges.

He stressed: “The polytechnic has continued to maintain her position as one of the best in Nigeria. I am urging all the staff not to tarnish the image of the polytechnic due to our current challenges.

“I want to thank all the staff for their perseverance with the management and the state government in 2020, while I am assuring them that the management will consider some of their request this year.

“Let us pray for the peace of MAPOLY. We have gone through so much turbulence in the past years, and have scale through. Let us be prayerful this year for a better MAPOLY.

“Let us stop fanning the ember of disunity. Let us look for ways to resolve our crisis internally.

“We have to be creative in generating more internal generated revenue (IGR). I want to sincerely thank you for your perseverance in 2020. I call for your cooperation in 2021.

“Our image is soaring in the comity of polytechnics in Nigeria. Let us not use our internal predicament to tarnish it”
