The Area Commander of Nigeria Police , Ilaro Area Command , Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Chris Adeyeri has described Ilaro as the most peaceful town in Nigeria.
Ilaro is the capital of Yewa South Local Government area of Ogun State.
Mr. Chris Adeyeri said the people of the town, both indigenes and non-indigenes are best of people to work with as he has no incidence of regret since he was posted to the area command a year and half ago.
The Police chief stated this during a media chat recently with selected journalists, who are members of the Federated Chapel, NUJ Ogun State, at the Police Area Command office, Ilaro.
Adeyeri  attributed the peaceful atmosphere recorded in the area during the #EndSars protest to God and the cooperation of the youths, the Oba and elders of the town. They cooperated with the police during the tensed period.
He thanked the Olu of ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland Oba kehinde Olugbenle and all stakeholders for their efforts at ensuring peaceful protest by the youths.
 ACP Adeyeri also enjoined the journalists to continue to cooperate with the police in the dissemination of right information to the grassroots. 
He commended the roles of community newspapers in the promotion of peaceful coexistence among various ethnic groups living at rural areas, saying community newspapers were essential in fighting crimes in towns and cities. 
ACP Adeyeri singled out Comrade Lanre Adegboyega, Chairman, Federated Chapel, for his assistance in curbing crimes in the area command by providing necessary information to fight crimes and protect the people of the area.
While urging the publisher of National Standard newspaper to continue with the humanitarian assistance, the Area Commander implored other journalists to give useful information to the police in order to nib crimes from the bud before they rear their ugly heads.
The Divisional Police Officer, Ilaro,Superintendent of Police,  Obayemi Jacobs, who was in attendance, also commended the people of Ilaro and it’s environs for their unflinching support to make Ilaro a peaceful town, urging journalists to continue to be friendly with
