Ogun State governor.Prince Dapo Abiodun has commended ogun youth protesters for suspending,which have been hijacked by hoodlums.

Abiodun stated this in a statement obtained by NEWSLIFE on the Ogun State page.

According to the statement, Gov. Abiodun noted that roads blocks and other obstructiona are expected to begin trickling away.

He added that law enforcement have been instructed to patrol the street, dismantling blockades , protecting public utilities and law abiding citizens going about their legitimate businesses.

The governor also in the statementenjoined the people to call 121 in event of any extortion or obstruction of roads in their area.

Meanwhile, early in the morning, blockades were seen along some major junctions and roads such as Ibara junction, obafemi Awolowo Roads and okada riders were plying the roads in defiance of the Gov.Abiodun’s orders given on Tuesday suspending the operations of okada riders in the state and the non – tolerance for blockades of major roads and highways by protesters.

Banks in Abeokuta, the state capital were under lock and key, while business outlets along lalubu business district closed their offices and shops.

Some protesters were seen parading the roads, ordering motorists to go back to their homes.

Along Obafemi Awolowo road in Ibara, all the iron constructed on the median were destroyed by people alleged to be hoodlums
